Event Location: Ladbroke Church, Church Road, Ladbroke, Southam, Warwickshire, CV47 2DF
Saturday 9th March 2024
10:00am – 4:00pm

Discover 200 million year old fossils, learn about the stunning stained glass or go on a treasure trail around the village.

Ladbroke was underwater 200 million years ago, so our fossils are of Jurassic marine life - ammonites, belemnites, brachiopods, crinoids and more.
During a 15 minute mini-tour our guide will introduce you to some of them, then discover more yourself in the walls and buttresses using our printed guide.
Fossil tours start on the 1/2 hour at 10.30am 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Ladbroke Church has beautiful stained glass windows from the 15th to early 20th centuries made by many different studios.
During a 20 minute mini-tour, your expert guide will explain some of the symbolism and codes, you can then "read" more of the windows at your own pace using our printed guide book.
Stained glass tours start on the hour at 11am, 2pm and 3pm.

Pick up a trail booklet, then solve clues around the village to discover where Robert Catesby hid his treasure. Aimed at families with children or teenagers and the young at heart. Allow 1-2 hours (on the day or another time).

Church is open 10am - 4pm (as usual)

This event is part of the National Lottery Open Week, to thank to Lottery Players who helped fund the recent repairs through The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
